OUR BELIEFS

WE PRAY TOGETHER ALOUD - Because in the Bible we read, "They lifted up their voice to God with one accord." Acts 4:24
WE LIFT OUR HANDS IN PRAISE - Because in the Bible we read, "Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD." Psalm 134:2
WE SING WITH ALL OUR HEARTS - Because in the Bible we read, "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise." Psalm 98:4
WE PLAY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS - Because in the Bible we read, "And all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments." II Samuel 6:5
WE CLAP AND SHOUT UNTO GOD - Because in the Bible we read, "O clap your hands, all you people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph." Psalms 47:1
WE DANCE BEFORE THE LORD -  Because in the Bible we read, "Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs." Psalms 150:4
WE TESTIFY PUBLICLY - Because in the Bible we read, "I will declare your name unto my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise you." Psalms 22:22
WE ANOINT WITH OIL FOR DIVINE HEALING - Because in the Bible we read, "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." James 5:14
WE ALLOW THE OPERATION OF THE SPIRITUAL GIFTS - Because in the Bible we read, "When meeting together, one will sing, another will teach, another will tell some special revelation God has given, one will speak in tongues, and another will interpret what is said." 1 Corinthians 14:26

TENETS OF FAITH

Tenets of Faith

Our Tenets of Faith are our main beliefs. Being a Bible believing church, all of our tenets of faith are drawn from the Bible which we hold to as the inspired Word of God.

Salvation

No subject in history is as important as the subject of Salvation.  There is not even a close second among all the topics that have been taught over the centuries. Though the term salvation can be used in different ways, here at New Life Assembly we hold to a biblical standard for Salvation.

Water Baptism

According to the Bible, to be baptized in water means to be immersed in water after being born again. The order of your relationship and experience in the Lord is to first recieve salvation and to then be baptized in water, (Mark 16:16). Water baptism thus is the outward act of public identification with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is the outward testimony of the change that has taken place inside a persons heart as a result of believing in Jesus. We have included a sermon about water baptism below.
